Six safeguards, built into the system.
On-premise processing
All facial recognition is processed and stored within your venue. Keeping data on-site dramatically reduces the risk of unauthorised access, breaches and external threats — your sensitive information never leaves your facility.
No tracking of unregistered people
Ottica does not track, record or retain information about anyone who has not been explicitly registered. Visitors who have not opted in remain entirely anonymous.
Anonymous visitor handling
We never tag, assign identifiers to, or retain biometric data about unregistered individuals. Every visit by an unknown person is treated as new and anonymous — there is no way to recall a previous visit.
Anonymous analytics only
Aggregated, de-identified data is used solely to improve operations and experience. Analytics are never linked to an identifiable person.
Automated deletion
Stored recognition data is automatically and permanently deleted after a retention window that you define — minimising any risk of unnecessary data retention or misuse.
Per-site data isolation
For multi-location operators, data stays isolated within each venue. Nothing is shared or transferred between sites, removing cross-site privacy risk.
